The Second Annual Run for Africa 5K is Saturday, July 24 at 7:30 a.m. at Winter Springs Town Center (1160 E. State Road 434, Winter Springs, Florida 32708)
Join Children of the Nations-Florida in a run to help give an education to orphaned children in Africa.
* Cost: $20 through July 17; $25 July 18-23; $30 day of race (cash or check only).Children of the Nations (COTN) is a nonprofit organization that partners with national people to provide holistic care for orphaned and destitute children in Sierra Leone, Malawi, Uganda and the Dominican Republic, enabling them to create positive and lasting change in their nations. COTN has a local satellite office in Central Florida, located on Herndon Avenue in Orlando.
* The Free Kids Run will be at 8:30 a.m.
* All registered participants will receive a cotton race T-shirt. Awards will be based on chip times and scores.
