TheDailyCity.com Mobile Art Show | Parking Space Park

(The photo above is from a San Francisco project and is only used for illustrative purposes. We will not have a tree or bench.)

Downtown Orlando is getting a brand new public park... for two hours. On May 20, 2010, 7-9pm, the folks at TheDailyCity.com are taking over a parking space adjacent to City Arts Factory in downtown Orlando (corner of Orange and Pine) as part of "Third Thursdays" and turning it into a parking-space-size park with astro turf, lawn chairs and tables. Its a presentation of their monthly TheDailyCity.com Mobile Art Show.

The public is welcome to have a seat, chat and take pictures in the tiny park.

The concept of parking space take overs has been around for years across the country and we are excited to be one of many groups bringing it to Orlando. Here are two examples from San Francisco and Los Angeles.

The featured Artist is Belief Yumi, a brother duo team from Kentucky Orlando* named Jason and Jeremy Menard. We will have several of their black and white sketches of downtrodden rabbits, sad squirrels and skull balloons on display.

TheDailyCity.com Mobile Art Show is May 20, 2010, 7pm-9pm at City Arts Factory (corner of Orange and Pine).

This show is sponsored by the Ford Fiesta, coming out in June. We'll have an actual Ford Fiesta in the parking space park.
