The Mount Dora Music Festival invites local artists to go ‘Looking For Treble’ in a public art contest open to all Lake County artists ages 18 and over. Download the rules
Rhw festival is February 17-20, 2011. Artists must submit a contest application and two sketches displaying different views of the same treble clef design, including a color rendering noting the weather-resistant materials to be used for the final public art piece, plus a $15.00 non-refundable entry fee.
“This year we’re trying to bridge the gap between music and art by inviting the local art community to design the festival’s promotional image,” explains MDMF president Pat Nelson. “The winning design will be displayed at various locations throughout Mount Dora beginning in September and will remain in the public eye until the festival. During the multi-day event in February, the Treble Clef will be part of a silent auction and the highest bidder will be announced Saturday evening just prior to the headline concert.”
