Third Thursday is August 19, 2010 in downtown Orlando. This is going to be a special one. The folks at City Arts Factory are closing down the stretch of Pine Street between Orange and Court. We'll be out there with our Mobile Art Show in the middle of the street along with UCF and their giant white public transportation-themed balloon. Inside, there will be installation artists.

Now I've found out a third aspect has been added, being put together by BSide Artists. They want to put EIGHTY artists along the sidewalk that runs down Pine Street running in front of City Arts Factory. The theme for each painting is "unity." Where are they getting these 80 artists? By putting out a call to artists of course:
"We need 80 artists (painters) to fill up the sidewalk alongside city arts factory from orange ave toward court ave. Swamburger of Solilla and Bside artists wanna line up the 80 painters and have them use an easel to paint one picture symbolizing the word unity. They will set up at 5:30 Aug 19th and start there pieces together at 6pm-11pm. Any Meduim is excepted, you must create this piece live. Help show Orlando Street art is legal. We are not talking about painting on business walls of course that’s “Vandelism”. Join your Artists friends on this day to show we share a common purpose of “UNITY”. If you are interested in painting live please contact Tobar or Swamburger: Tobar@inprogressmag.com, Swamburger@yahoo.com."
