Project Audience Holds Online Meeting | Finding and Keeping Audiences in the Arts

September 16, 2010 at 3:30pm EDT, Project Audience will hold an online meeting to outline its discoveries and "start us on the road to building the future of finding and keeping new audiences in the arts." This may apply to other industries, so we're sharing it with you here.

About Project Audience: For thousands of hours the Project Audience Oversight Committee (PAOC) has been getting organized, securing a grant from the Mellon Foundation for Phase II, hiring consultants for the Discovery Process [VShift] and sifting through thousands of hours of discussions, hundreds of suggestions, ideas, research, cautionary tales, hopes and 'wish -lists' to build the Requirements Document which will outline the next generation of audience development and engagement software and processes.

The future is near-er and ... it is very exciting! But everyday it changes a little and we must be prepared to adapt to the ebb and flow of technology and society and change with it. We must find a way to create a process that can live and breathe and change as artists and society change over time and still remain useful. A process that will not become obsolete because it is grounded in the DNA of all of us.
