Featuring an afternoon of crafts, cookies, and fun family cinema, Enzian Theater will host a children’s Christmas event, Letters to Santa: Cookies and a Movie, on Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010, 12pm-2pm at the theatre (1300 South Orlando Ave., Maitland, FL 32751)
The afternoon will kick off with a special cookie decorating and letter writing craft session. Kids will be provided supplies to create their Christmas wish list as parents sneak a peek while being served homemade hot cocoa. The crafting session will conclude with an exciting in-person appearance by Santa Claus. After visiting each family to personally pick up wish lists, Santa will secretly return the letters to parents who are interested in discovering their child’s true Christmas wishes.
As Saint Nick says his farewell, families will be treated to the hilarious kids’ Christmas movie, BAH, HUMDUCK! A LOONEY TUNES CHRISTMAS on the big screen. Along with ordering from a special holiday menu full of kid-friendly options, attendees will also have the opportunity to take their family holiday pictures with a professional portrait photographer onsite.
“Nothing brings families together during the holidays like gathering to watch a great Christmas movie,” said Enzian President Henry Maldonado. “We believe this event, which supports Enzian, a not-for-profit arts institution, will entertain and delight so much that it’s made into a tradition year after year!”
Admission for the event is $20 for children and includes a cookie decorating kit, letter writing supplies, hot cocoa, and the movie. The ticket price for adults is $10 and includes hot cocoa and the film.
