On Friday, February 4, Jimmy Eat World and David Bazan performed at the House of Blues in Orlando. The sold-out show started at 8:30-ish pm with a performance by Indie-rock singer, Bazan. Bazan performed for almost an hour and performed some fan favorites from Curse Your Branches in addition to songs from previous albums. Bazan is easy to listen to since his music instantly creates a calm, intimate and spiritual ambience. And that’s exactly how the atmosphere was at the House of Blues throughout his performance. Bazan kicked off the show nicely and was not a disappointment to watch live. When Jimmy Eat World hit the stage, the massive audience excitedly greeted the band with applause and cheers. Jimmy Eat World performed songs from Bleed American, Futures, Chase This Light and of course from their newest album, Invented. This was my first time seeing Jimmy Eat World live. Not just the band’s lead singer Jim, but the whole band captivates you as you watch them. The band is a great live band and works to put on a good show for their fans. Throughout the show, Jim genuinely thanked the audience for attending and there was not a time I noticed that the audience was not into the show.

Towards the end of the show, the audience demanded an encore and Jimmy Eat World delivered with songs from Futures and Bleed American that made the audience go crazy. Jimmy Eat World is definitely a band I recommend seeing live and David Bazan is worth giving a listen to if you have not yet. Jimmy Eat World’s U.S. Invented Tour ends on Feb. 21 in Austin, Texas with David Bazan then off to their international tour.
