ATTACK THE BLOCK has an advance screening at Winter Park Village on Wednesday, May 25th. Click here for details about getting free tickets. If one of the links is out of tickets, try another. Tickets do not guarantee entry, so get to the theater nice and early on the night.

Advanced movie screenings happen in town fairly often, and I don't usually write about them, but here's a little film that probably won't get much attention, and I'd like to help promote. It's directed by first-timer Joe Cornish (who you may know from the BBC's Adam and Joe Show), and is co-produced by Edgar Wright, and co-stars Nick Frost. So if you love British comedies, and also 80s flicks like Critters, Tremors and Predator 2, then this should be right in your wheelhouse. Whatever a wheelhouse is.

Here's the official synopsis and movie trailer. See you there.
'Attack the Block' is a fast, funny, frightening action adventure movie that pits a teen gang against an invasion of savage alien monsters. It turns a London housing estate into a sci-fi playground. A tower block into a fortress under siege. And teenage street kids into heroes. It’s inner city versus outer space.
