.@ChicosDirtyTaco Opening in @Dwntwn_Orlando

In the space formerly occupied by Crooked Bayou (50 E. Central Ave, downtown Orlando) Chico's Dirty Tacos & Tequila restaurant (FacebookTwitter) will open on May 5, 2011 and promises that the "focus will be on authentic Mexican recipes." Angel Cortes, who is also involved with Terrace 390, is the one behind developing the Chico’s concept.

This won't be a Tex-Mex or Cal-Mex joint. "Meats and proteins will be adorned with traditional Mexican adobos, pipiáns, and moles." Classic Mexican breakfast cafetería dishes like huevos rancheros will be offered. It will house downtown Orlando’s largest tequila and mezcal selection: 240 unique brand offerings. 14 large flat screen TVs and an adjoining indoor atrium made to resemble a Mexican night time street scene will accompany the food offerings.

The downtown Orlando spot is the flagship for their planned 10 location expansion by the end of 2011.
