Jazz on Edge + the Kerouac Project = Live Streamed Event

The first Jazz on Edge show of 2011 is Saturday, June 4, 2011 featuring piano jazz from The Per Danielsson Trio (with Marty Morell on drums and bassist Richard Drexler) and live readings from Kerouac House writer-in-residence David W. Berner and performer/playwright (and Jazz On Edge producer) Joseph Reed Hayes.

The concert is private and invite-only, but will webscast live to the world at 8pm!

About the Performers:

The Per Danielsson Trio appears with their latest cd, Time Will Tell. This is a trio of jazz masters who've played with Bill Evans, Stan Getz, Gato Barbieri, Nat Adderley, Ira Sullivan, Randy Brecker and more.

Jazz pianist, composer, arranger, writer and educator (professor at UCF) Per Danielsson has been praised for his sophisticated harmonic, rhythmic and melodic touch on the piano. Drummer Marty Morell was an integral part of the Bill Evans Trio from late 1968 through 1974. Multi-instrumentalist, composer/arranger and producer Richard Drexler is renowned for combining classical music with jazz and Latin styles.

David Berner, journalist, broadcaster and associate professor at Columbia College Chicago, started a journey of discovery on the 50th anniversary of "On The Road" (chronicled in the radio show, "Finding My Kerouac: On the Road at Mid-Life"). Now, he finds himself inhabiting the house Jack lived in those 50 years ago.

Joseph Reed Hayes, Playwright and Producer of Jazz on Edge, has performed at Jazz Gallery in NYC, Digital Media Arts Center, Stardust and Chapters in Orlando and the Atlantic Center for the Arts in New Smyrna Beach.
