Orlando Fringe 2011 Review: Lot o' Shakespeare

If Shakespearean were an official language, then Timothy Mooney would be fluent. This Fringe favorite from Arlington Heights, IL, has taken a comment by a fan and turned it into a one-man show, taking it on the road with the Orlando International Fringe Festival as one of his stops.

"Lot o' Shakespeare" marries the game of BINGO (dubbed IAGO) with methodical acting and the works of William Shakespeare. Mooney moves effortlessly from playing Benedict (Much Ado About Nothing) to spewing vengeful reverie as Richard III. The flow is only interrupted when an audience member shouts out "IAGO" and claims their prize.

If you like games, Shakespeare, flat-out riveting monologues, or any combination thereof, then catch Timothy Mooney in "Lot o' Shakespeare" at the Orlando Fringe in the Red Venue.
