Orlando Fringe 2011 Review: Winifred, "That Bitch!"

From the artistic geniuses that brought Orlando “The Screw You Revue,” Wayburn Sassy’s dear departed wife, “Freddie” has returned from the dead (or a coma); and waltzed into the Fringe Festival as if she were always there. Apparently, Winfred’s first words after her 19 year absence were “I wanna get back on stage…” She pulls out all the stops in her comeback from the other side in a rollicking debut that does not disappoint.

And, she’s not alone. Her boyfriend, Gerald, played by Douglas McGeoch, keeps the audience laughing as you warm up to this outspoken femme fatale. Dewey Chaffee may have scorned us as Wayburn, but Freddie in many ways, is his opposite – providing a level of empathy and sensitivity along with the laughs. The show is very funny and sure to please. Be ready for audience participation and if you’re called upon, then be a good sport people! (That’s Freddie’s request). Dewey Chaffee Comedy Enterprises, LLC will be taking their stars on tour across the U.S. this summer and we can expect big things from this outstanding Orlando duo!
