In honor of National Astronomy Day, the Orlando Science Center (777 E. Princeton Street, Orlando, FL) will be holding a full day of activities Saturday, May 21, 2011, 11am - 10pm. This event is included with admission to the Orlando Science Center ($17 for adults, $12 for kids – ages 3-11). Call 407-514-2000 for information.
Guests will enjoy Orlando By Night live planetarium shows in the Science Center’s Dr. Phillips CineDome, participate in solar viewing with telescopes throughout the day. The Science Center will be open late on Astronomy Day to provide night sky telescope observing after the sun goes down. Astronomers will be on hand to answer guest questions about the cosmos. The Orlando Science Center will be giving away a telescope during the day’s activities. The recipient must be present to win. National Astronomy day is presented by Astronomy Magazine and Celestron Telescope.
