Ford Focus Drive With a Purpose Tour Orlando

As part of the national 2012 Ford Focus Drive with a Purpose Tour (website), the City’s Parramore Kidz Zone program will compete against charities in Charlotte, Miami and Atlanta to be the metro area with the most test drives. The region with the most participation will receive $25,000 for their charity. Second place will receive $12,500 and third and fourth will get $7,000 each from the Ford Motor Company.

The tour will be at 10 locations throughout Central Florida. For every test drive, the Parramore Kidz Zone will receive $2 and the test-driver will receive a voucher for $8 off a local participating restaurant. Additionally test-drivers will be entered for a chance to win a two year lease on a 2012 Ford Focus.

Parramore Kidz Zone is modeled after the Harlem Children’s Zone. Parramore Kidz Zone employs creative outreach to engage a critical mass of Parramore’s children and link them to positive opportunities, including pre-kindergarten education, parenting education, health care, mentoring, tutoring and constructive activities when school is out.
