Cody Stuart is travelling from Calgary Tuesday and asked us on Twitter how he could occupy his time during the five days he'd be in what he called "the theme-park wasteland of Orlando."
As for local casual bars & restaurants (at night), I'd try the Milk District. PomPoms is a great lunch spot there, too. If your wife likes the cupcakes, I suggest visiting Blue Bird Bake Shop on July 30th for their one year anniversary. That same night, Ricky Powell will be in attendance at the opening of his show at Mother Falcon Clothing (817 E. Washington Street, Orlando, FL) and will present his "World Famous Slide Show." And, that same day, the Tony Robbin exhibit at Orlando Museum of Art opens.
In the same area as Blue Bird, stop in for coffee at Stardust and check out the music selection at Park Ave CDs. You already know about Enzian, so Tuesday night 6-9pm about a block away is the Maitland Food Truck Pod at Lake Lilly: eight or so of some of the best food trucks in town. Wednesday night they'll be behind the Firestone club downtown around the same time. Extra Large Gallery And Bar (431 East Central Blvd, Orlando, FL) just opened up downtown and is open 4pm - 2am Mon - Sat.
