City of Orlando Redistricting Advisory Board Public Meetings

Every ten years, the City of Orlando has to redraw its commission boundaries based on the federal Census. The basic purpose of redistricting is to ensure each City Commission district has equal population distribution in an effort to assure equality in representation. To accomplish this goal, the Orlando City Council has appointed a volunteer Redistricting Advisory Board (RAB) consisting of nine citizen members.

The board will introduce and discuss board-generated map proposals and take public comment, including any map proposals the public may wish to offer. All members of the public are encouraged to attend and provide input regarding proposed changes to the City of Orlando commission districts at each of the community meetings.
