Travel Writer Gary McKechnie Speaks on America's Iconic Places, Events & Festivals

USA 101: A Guide to America’s Iconic Places, Events, and Festivals is a lecture given by award-winning travel writer Gary McKechnie on September 15, 2011 at 6:30pm at Orange County Regional History Center. 6:30 p.m. reception; 7 p.m. program. $10 Members; $20 non-members. The writer "uses his quick wit and impeccable research to distill a bucket list of 101 quintessential destinations that highlight art, history, sports, and leisure and America’s favorite pastimes showcasing our nation’s spectacular diversity."  The Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism Award-winning author also wrote a book, “USA 101,” on these travels that will be available for signing. His work is regularly published in magazines and newspapers across the country.
