Yalaha Bakery Review: Country Comes to Town

August 11, 2011 For those who have ventured out to Yalaha Bakery in the wilds northwest of Orlando, your long journey into the hills and swamps has come to an end. Yes, Yalaha has brought their German goodness to the waterski splashed shores of Lake Ivanhoe and for that I say, Danke Schoen!

If you’re in need of authentic old world German breads and European cakes and pastries, today is your lucky day. Normally my day doesn’t start off with a cheese and fruit pillow (Danish), but someone had to sacrifice for science, for mankind, for Orlando—sacrifice done and I just may have a go buy some new “pillows” at their grand opening on Saturday August 13, 2011 as well.

Cranberry walnut bread? Sorry Publix bakery, we’re officially no longer dating and her name is Yalaha. No beers served here like out in the country location, but gourmet coffee and sandwiches with the real deal German sausages for those who want more than just pastries. Country mouse has come to visit City Mouse and we’re so glad you’ve decided to stay.
