Orlando Pottery and Ceramic Festival Dec 3

Dozens of potters from across Central Florida will take part in the first annual Orlando Pottery and Ceramic Festival from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. December 3, 2011 at Loch Haven Neighborhood Center (610 N. Lake Formosa Drive, near Loch Haven Park). Loch Haven Neighborhood Center is at the intersection of Lake Formosa Drive and Alden Road, just east of Orange Avenue and south of Princeton Street. Free parking is available.

About: "Just in time for holiday gift-giving, the festival will feature all kinds of ceramic art, from functional pottery plates and mugs to whimsical ceramic piggybanks to fanciful abstract sculpture. Most of the artists involved are members of the Downtown Orlando Pottery Studio, a city institution since 1968. Along with nearly 60 potters selling their wares, the festival will include live entertainment all day as well as food and beverages from some of Orlando's favorite food vendors.
