Update 1:49pm Clearly based on the comments we've received so far on twitter and this post, it *is* common knowledge. And apparently, the menu *did* have an asterix with a warning about consuming raw food. Thanks for the feedback. I clearly need to get out more and eat!

Is it common knowledge that Carpacchio is raw? We just ordered it at Brio. The menu nor the server informed us of it's raw uncooked state. The manager let us know it's common knowledge that the dish is raw. I disagreed, but I could be wrong. Did you know it was raw? I should note the staff fell over themselves to help us and even comped the dish on out bill. That was great.
