A family owned and operated winery started by Jesse's parents, Don and Wendy Lange in 1987, Lange Estate Winery & Vineyards sets the standard for hand-crafted Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. The winery has been named the 2011 Winery of the Year by the wine website Snooth.com, while WineEnthusiast.com proclaimed Lange Estate to be "one of the great Pinot Noir producers in the United States." Columnist Matt Kramer of Wine Spectatorcalled its barrel-fermented reserve of Pinot Gris, the first of its kind, "a bench-mark bottling."
Jesse Lange joined the winemaking team in 2004, continuing the legacy of Lange Estate. Jesse also holds the title of General Manager and serves on several industry boards including: President of Oregon Pinot Camp, former President of the Dundee Hills Winegrowers Association, and the Willamette Valley Wineries Association.
"An Evening in Oregon" begins with a starter of Roasted Onion Soup with Smoked Salmon Sausage. The second course features Grilled Rainbow Trout with Rye Berry and Artichoke Ragout, followed by a palate-cleansing course of Cranberry and Port Sorbet. Truly embracing the Pacific Northwest theme, the main course is an Herb-Crusted Bison Strip Loin served with Roasted Root Vegetables and a Madeira Foie Gras Sauce. The meal is topped off with a Chocolate Mousse and Ganache Tart with Port Soaked Figs.
Each Vine & Dine event begins at 7 p.m. with a reception in Everglades Bar that features a welcome wine or unique wine cocktail. Guests can also enter to win exciting raffle prizes, such as bottles of wine, wine-related items or hotel stays. An intimate dining experience, each Vine & Dine event is limited to no more than 40 guests, ensuring personal attention for each attendee.
The cost of each Vine & Dine dinner is $65 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Diners may make their evenings even more special by spending the night in a deluxe guest room for a special rate of only $89 plus tax. As with all Everglades dining experiences, valet parking is complimentary.
