Sci-Fi and Fantasy Art Theme of Orlando Museum of Art's 1st Thursdays in February

"From Robots to Warlocks: Sci-Fi and Fantasy Art in the 21st Century" is the theme of Orlando Museum of Art's 1st Thursday event February 2, 2012, 6-9pm. Please Respect Our Decadence will be playing experimental electronica music. Creations Catering & Events and The Yum Yum Cupcake Truck will provide snacks. Carolina the Doodler is face painting, Dog Powered Robot will be on hand, Ferox will perform Sci-Fi and Fantasy Cosplay Dance Performances. "Power Animals" by Jason Martin and "Mirage" by Michael O'Donnell are two pieces of video art that will play. Also one hand will be A Comic Shop, Area-O: Orlando's Sci-Fi Club, Florida Artists Registry and Red Chair Project and The Volunteer Vixens - a giving circle comprised of like-minded women who share the love of philanthropy.

Café offerings, handcrafted beers from Shipyard and Seadog Brewing Co. and wine poured by Premier Beverage Co. will be available for purchase throughout the evening.

Admission to 1st Thursdays is $10, always free for OMA Members, and includes access to the OMA's featured exhibition Barbara Sorensen: Topographies.
