Just a Few More Days Until the Largest Chocolate Party in Tampa Bay


Here are some activities at the Largest All-Chocolate event in Tampa Bay: The Chocolate Festival January 14-16, 2012.

Wine and Chocolate Pairing Classes


wine2.jpgEnjoy a 45 minute interactive and educational chocolate and wine pairing class (more info) hosted by a chocolate expert from San Francisco based Guittard Chocolate and a wine consultant from PRP Wine International. Guests must be 21 years or older to participate. ID will be checked at the door and no children will be allowed into the room with their parents. The cost for the Chocolate & Wine Pairing is $10 per guest and is in addition to the Admission to The Festival of Chocolate.

Live Chocolate Cake Sculpture

paul.jpgWe are excited to announce that Paul Joachim of Art Edibles in Oviedo, FL, Winner of Food Network's Cake Challenge, has joined The Festival of Chocolate to create a cake sculpture of a life size Fashion Model LIVE at The Festival of Chocolate at MOSI.

Paul will be working with only cake and chocolate ganache. The sculpture will take 3 days to complete. Don't Miss the exciting Live Chocolate Sculpting at The Festival of Chocolate!



Chocolate Classes Taught by Chocolate Masters


classes2.jpgLearn from the Chocolate Masters in a Small Class Interactive Setting.  (More Info) You will rarely find these Masters teaching such intensive hands-on programs outside of their professional school or work environment. If you want to hone your skills, are a budding Chocolatier, want to make better chocolate products at home or are interested in the fine art of chocolate, we recommend that you take advantage of these very special 1 hour classes. Only 20 students per class. Class fee is $25 per student.



Live Chocolate Competitions

cake.jpgIf you like watching food competitions on television, then you'll love watching Local and National Pastry Chefs battle LIVE for the title of:

 Best Wedding Cake Decorator
Sunday (11:30 am - 1:30 pm)

"Best of" Chocolate Tasting Competition

On Saturday starting at 10:00 am, we will pair a local Celebrity with a Pastry Chef and a Certified Chocoholic to crown the BEST tasting chocolate in 7 different categories.

Local Celebrities include Jerome Ritchey from Studio 10, Mike Clay from Bay News 9, Drew Garabo, Seth Kushner and Danielle McGBroom from 97X, Dana from Play 98.7 and Jack Harris from WFLA.

Calling All Chocolate Detectives


museum1.jpgNavigate through the Chocoland Chocolate Museum to learn about the History of Chocolate and watch how chocolate is created from the Bean to the Bar.Pick up a Chocolate Detective Form at the entrance to the museum. Answer all of the questions correctly and you'll get a "sweet" chocolate gift at the end!



Many Activities for Children and Adults are Complimentary


With your paid admissions to MOSI, Adults and Kids will get to enjoy many complimentary activities such as making  Chocolate Playdough, Chocolate Museum Detective, Cookie Stacking and Ice Cream Eating Competitions and Kid In a Candy Store... to name a few.
