HollingsworthGallery (160 Cypress Point Parkway Palm Coast, FL 32164) will host a photographic exhibition fundraiser for "Lovefor Alyssa, Inc." on May 12 at 6 p.m. Proceeds from photograph sponsorships, raffle
ticket sales and donations benefit the medical expenses of Alyssa and
Joseph; two children diagnosed with Arthrogryposis.
Fine art
documentary photographer, Jennifer Kaczmarek’s work chronicling Alyssa
Hagstrom will be on exhibit, as well as children’s artwork donated from
local schools. The organization wishes to raise more than eight thousand
dollars for the children’s medical needs at the event. Guests can buy raffle
tickets for a deluxe, ocean-view suite, and one round of golf at the
Conservatory golf course; both donated by the Club at Hammock Beach Resort.
Guests may also enjoy live music, hors d’oeuvres and wine.
“The core
of our organization centers on the documentary process. We are creating visual
diaries allowing the viewer to have a window into Alyssa’s world and the world
of others,” explains Kaczmarek, fine art documentary photographer. “This
exhibit features Alyssa’s amazing spirit, despite her daily struggles and
challenges,” she adds.
Jennifer
Kaczmarek founded love for Alyssa, Inc. in 2011 after an inspirational meeting
with Alyssa’s family. Through the art of photography, the organization is now
dedicated to raising funds for financially burdened families' affected by
insurmountable medical expenses.
Love for
Alyssa, Inc. also features photojournalists Jerry Englehart, Jr. and Robert Larson
as primary contributors to the organization. Vice president Delynn Maples and
secretary Claire Santaue assist with fundraising and organizational
development. Love for Alyssa, Inc. awaits approval to be a 501(c)(3), but plans
to expand greatly during 2012 with a new name, website and the addition of
new individuals to benefit from its fundraising efforts.
