The Polasek Museum’s 8th annual 3-concert music series will be held in the elegant salon of the Polasek residence, giving concert-goers an experience of acoustic perfection in an intimate setting. Dr. Ayako Yonetani
Dr. Ayako Yonetani, an internationally acclaimed violin/viola player won First Prize in the Japanese National Competition at age nine and made her United States debut as a concertmaster with the New York String Orchestra at Carnegie Hall. Dr. Yonetani received her bachelor, masters, and doctoral degrees from the Julliard School of Music. Currently, she is a Professor of Violin/Viola at the University of Central Florida and travels the world as a guest soloist. She is a member of Japan’s premier chamber ensemble in Tokyo.

Dr. Kiminobu Sugaya
Dr. Kiminobu Sugaya is Chair of the Neuroscience Consortium and also with the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Sugaya is an internationally award-winning adult stem cell scientist. Alongside Dr. Yonetani, he has been conducting research on the impact of music on the brain. Using the latest in technology Dr. Suguya provides innovative musical accompaniment for every concert.
