Bithlo | It Wants You To Know It's There

The Opening Night for ArtReach Orlando's first ever installation “Welcome To Bithlo- An Orange County Community With Pride” is September 5, 2012, 5-7pm, inside the atrium at the Orange County Administration Building (201 S Rosalind Avenue, Orlando, Florida 32801). This art installation focuses on the past, present and future of Bithlo and the people who live there. The installation will hang from September 5-30, 2012.

Featuring a collection of historic photographs from Bithlo’s past as a planned community during the Disney boom years, exquisite camera work by award winning photographer Mr. Willie Allen Jr. of the St. Petersburg Times, and artwork created by the children of Bithlo during the Bithlo Young Artist Outreach workshop at the Orange County Academy this show aims to call attention to the long storied past of this long-ignored community that grew in tandem with the tourist capital of the world.
