Food Trucks: Seal of Doom to Cities

We put on a little food thing called The Food Truck Bazaar, but according to this article, we or any solitary food truck aren't welcome in Clearwater. Neither is my twin in Tampa, Tasting Tampa

The Mayor of Clearwater is not having it. "It" being food trucks and food truck events. And I don't blame him, frankly. I mean, you should see the foot traffic "The Food Truck Bazaar" brings to downtown Kissimmee when we bring it there for its monthly stop. What a mess! All those people who aren't normally downtown, walking past store windows, strolling next to local businesses and galleries.

Why its enough to make you sick!

And don't get me started on Avalon Park! With 25 trucks, you'd think "The Food Truck BAzaar" was enough to feed them all. Nope. But where do those people go to get their dinner the night of The Food Truck Bazaar? Local restaurants! Scandal. Some of these local restaurants have even been known to say its the busiest Sunday of the month for them.

For shame.

So, if you want to keep foot traffic and hungry people out of your downtowns, be sure to keep food trucks out. Good on ya, Mayor! Keep up the good work.
