In 2008 TheDailyCity was just hopelessly wishing for PechaKucha, now just a few short years later and tonight we're seeing the seventh edition of this always intriguing event (the first was two years ago this month). At Pecha Kucha each presenter, tonight it'll be four of them, have 20 slides at 20 seconds each (totaling 6 minutes 40 seconds) to present whatever they wish. The list of presenters is purposefully diverse and each presenter has no required topic on which to talk, meaning that each presentation is a bit of a surprise.
The event is held at the brightly painted and easy to find Orange Studio. The entrance is at the rear of the building.
Doors open at 7 p.m. Presentations begin around 8 p.m. Live music begins around 9 p.m. Food from Tako Cheena, dessert from Charlie's Bakery, and beer/wine from Shipyard Brew Pub's cash-only bar will all be available from 7 p.m. and throughout the event.
Tickets to PKN are $10 at the door; cash is preferred but we can take debit cards.
