This one's gonna be fun. Vancouver duo Japandroids have put out one of this year's best-reviewed albums in 'Celebration Rock', an insanely catchy 35-minute energy burst. More focused and powerful than its predecessor 'Post-Nothing', 'Celebration Rock' sees the band soaring, and their live show cannot be missed. 'The House That Heaven Built' is definitely one of this year's best songs. Listen to it above, and if you're not convinced, I really don't know what to do with you. Young upstarts Swearin', who've also received plenty of positive ink, (or whatever its online equivalent is), open.
