The ground breaking for Mills Park,
the new mixed use development going at Virginia and Mills, was this
morning. The retail section of the development will be anchored by The Fresh Market,
providing the first grocery store along Mills Ave since the middle of
the last century when Publix moved from their Mills Ave home to the
current Mills50 location on Colonial Drive.
The Fresh Market will be just over 24,000sq ft with a full deli, meat market, and bakery. It will also feature both international and local products. The retail outfront of The Fresh Market will have a First Watch restaurant.
