PechaKutcha Orlando Hosting State PKN Roundtable

January 12 will be a very special PechaKucha Night v8 will feature the organizers of PechaKucha Nights from across the state of Florida in a roundtable discussion. The leaders of PKN in Ft. Lauderdale, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Lakeland, Miami, and Tampa Bay will come together in Orlando to discuss their experiences with PKN in their cities. The conversation promises to be interesting as insights about the event from across the state are shared.

Unlike the normal PechaKucha Nights the January 12 one will NOT feature outside presenters performing pechakuchas, and it will be held at Urban ReThink downtown. Cost is $5 at the door.

PKN Orlando will return to its traditional format for v9 on February 8, 2013 at Orange Studio (Tickets $10).
The concept is explained on their site as "Drawing its name from the Japanese term for "chitchat," PechaKucha (puh-CHA keh-SHAW) rests on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds. It's a format that makes the presentations concise and keeps things moving at a rapid pace. Speakers can present their PechaKuchas on any subject, from personal to the public."

Also PKN will be a part of Orlando Fringe in May which will result in some great cross pollination between the two events.  You may also recall that our very own Mark B. was guest speaker at PKN Orlando back in February 2012.
