The Seventh Annual “Art at the Casa,” scheduled for January 23 through 31, 2013 will feature the work of renowned Winter Park documentary photographer Peter Schreyer. It will take place at Casa Feliz.
The subjects, including local landmarks, historic communities and romantic landscapes of nighttime scenes, all have roots in Florida.
As part of this year’s program, Schreyer will be leading a one-day photography workshop, Documenting Community for Today and for the Future.
The house will be open each day of the weeklong exhibit from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free, although donations are always appreciated to help defray the costs of programming. Groups desiring a special tour during the show should contact Angela Roark at aroark@casafeliz.us.
Born and educated in Switzerland, Schreyer immigrated to the United States in 1978. He has served as the Executive Director at Crealdé School of Art since 1995 and in 2007 founded the Hannibal Square Heritage Center. Since 1980 his photography has been included in more than 100 one-person, juried and invitational exhibits across the United States and Switzerland.
