While the physical book may not be nearly as popular as it used to be that doesn't mean libraries have to also lose popularity. Libraries are places for the community to gather, places for students to retreat to, and places that retreat from the busyness of life. On Saturday, February 9, 2013 Osceola County opened their latest library; in the planned community of Celebration. It's hard to believe that until now the city hasn't had a stand alone library (shouldn't that have been in the plan from the beginning?) but now they do and it's a beauty. Nestled in between the pines trees hiding 417 and the golf course the new library contrast against the green course. The library with white walls and large windows creating a new icon along the course. Inside the golf course allows for a quiet background to the latest books and community events. Out front a small lawn welcomes visitors and provides an area to lounge in the sun.
