Australian indie-rock band Atlas Genius (Twitter | Facebook) played to a sold-out crowd at the House of Blues in Orlando on Friday February 15, 2013, opening for Imagine Dragons with opening act Nico Vega.
The band is composed of lead singer and guitarist Keith Jeffery and his bandmates, two who are his brothers, drummer Michael Jeffery, bassist Steven Jeffery and keyboardist Darren Sell.
They performed songs from their EP Through The Glass including "Symptoms", "Backseat" and their well-known and catchy first single "Trojans." They also played songs from their fourth-coming album When It Was Now such as "If So", "When It Was Now", "On A Day", "All These Girls" and "Electric".
The band displayed fabulous stage presence and Aussie charm. Frontman Keith Jeffery possesses a wonderful voice. Every song has a different feel to it varying from mellow, groovy to energetic and fun.
In the middle of the show, Keith told the audience it was the band's first time in Florida and mentioned the release of their new album.
The band concluded their show with "Trojans" which really excited the audience. After almost an hour of performing, Atlas Genius thanked the crowd, handed out guitar picks to the crowd, informed fans those would be at the merch table, hyped up the audience for Imagine Dragons, and left the stage.
