Love Your Shorts Film Festival kicks off Friday Feb 15, 2013 and goes until Sunday Friday the 17th at the Wayne Densch Performing Arts Center in Sanford. Now its third year the festival features films, all fewer than 30 minutes each, from around the world. But the festival does keep a Florida focus with a Florida Flavor event on Sunday February 17 at 3p. The weekend also includes a free filmmaker’s panel on Saturday. One of the nice things about the LYS Fest is that it's in a single venue allowing for easy viewing of every film. This year promises to be as good as ever with a number of interesting films with topics ranging from slaves attempting to escape the rural south to pace-colonization. The event starts Friday night with tickets ranging from $8 to $55 for a weekend pass.
