Do you recall that bacon scarf that we mentioned here on the
site back in January, 2013? While we loved the scarf bacon by
itself doesn't make for a very good breakfast but add some eggs and you're set. This breakfast inspired scarf by artist New York based Israli
designer, photographer and model Irena Rudman does just that. This stunning scarf features a bacon pattern with an egg over easy brooch. The scarf itself
is handmade from natural extra fine wool and silk while the
brooch is natural wool and lacquered paper clay.
Rudman has dozens of breathtakingly beautiful
scarfs. Besides the Bacon and Eggs scarf
her lilac purple and dark gray Monarch butterfly scarf has got to be one of my all time favorite scarfs.
But if food based clothing is more your thing
make sure to check out TwinkieChan’s Etsy page.
It features a quite a few food based crochet projects including a
Chocolate Truffle Candy Scarf.
TwinkieChan has become somewhat of a San Francisco celebrity due to her
food themed crochet items. She has been
featured in fashion shows up and down the west coast and has been written about
in numerous magazines; such as Woman’s World, Giant Robot, and Inked.
So what do you think of these food inspired
clothing pieces? I think if I had fake
bacon or cupcakes wrapped around my neck I might end up eating a lot more of
each. Possible together.
