If you're like me one of the hardest times of the year to wake up is when we turn back or forward or whichever way it is our clocks in the middle of the night on the one day a week most of us can actually stay up. Well lucky for us that we live in Florida and our politicians are here to help. State Senator Darren Soto (District 14 which includes parts of Orange and Osceola counties) is now proposing that the states does away with Daylight Savings Time with a new Senate Bill. He claims that the change would help tourism with more daylight earlier in the day. Daylight Savings Time begins in March (10th this year) and lasts till November. If passed the law would go into effect on Jan. 1, 2014. So what do you think? While I do agree that the time change is not needed I'd rather see the Daylight Savings Time used instead allowing for the sun to be up longer in the evening which is actually when tourist are out and about.
