Fabio Napoleoni Hosts New Show at Pop Gallery For Two Days Only

By Ken Storey

Fabio Napoleoni is known for his uplifting artworks that feature hearts and Marcinevo: an adorable, rag-tag, childhood figure with mitten hands and an iconic one button eye. In much of Napoleoni’s works Marcinevo is shown on adventures created on the cardboard box walls of his favorite box. Napoleoni draws from both his own childhood where his severe asthma kept him out of the mainstream of childhood but where his artist mother made sure to make up for it with the introduction to fine art that was well above the artist of other children were being introduced to and also the emotions that he had to draw from as a parent when his own daughter was born with a critical heart condition resulting in numerous hospital visits. This dual love, as a child and as a parent, comes through in his uplifting artwork.

Pop Gallery at Downtown Disney will be hosting the artist on Saturday March 30, and Sunday, March 31, 2013. This is a real treat as the Maine artist rarely makes trips this far from home. Napoleoni will be unveiling his new art show “"Capturing Love, Moments from the Movies" at the gallery. On Saturday, March 30 the doors will open at 6p with the Grand Unveiling at 7p. The gallery will remain open till 10p on Saturday. On Sunday the art show will run from 2p till 4p. The show will feature many originals exclusive to the show. Napoleoni will be on hand for a meet and greet and photo opportunities. You can also have your artwork purchased be personalized by Napoleoni during the show.
