Rock artist Secondhand Serenade (Twitter | Facebook) played at the Social on Wednesday night with special guests Veronica Ballestrini and Juliet Simms (lead singer of rock band Automatic Loveletter and runner-up on the second season of the The Voice).

The intimate concert started with John Vesely’s (Secondhand Serenade) introduction to the first opening act, pop-country artist Veronica Ballestrini. Veronica played for a half-hour and performed songs from her album Don’t Give Up On Me and a cover of “Price Tag” by Jessie J.

The show’s second opening act, rock artist Juliet Simms, dressed in pants with the United States flag design on it with a long faux fur jacket and a white tank top underneath, entertained the audience with her beautiful voice. She displayed mature stage presence and amazing vocals. Juliet performed “To Love Is To Die” and songs she did on The Voice such as “It's A Man's, Man's, Man's World” and “Roxanne” and ended her set with her newest single “Wild Child”.

The show’s headliner Secondhand Serenade, a one-member band that consists of vocalist and guitarist/keyboardist John Vesely, played for over a hour. He played with various acoustic guitars and a keyboard  and performed songs such as “A Twist In My Story”, “Awake”, “Right Kind Of Crazy”, “Vulnerable”, “Let Me In” and songs that will be on his upcoming album. John performed duets with Veronica Ballestrini of “By The Way” (which will be on Secondhand Serenade’s upcoming album) and “La La Love” (a song that the two wrote while on this tour). He also did  covers of “Fix You” by Coldplay, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” by Taylor Swift and a very humorous cover of “Hero” by Enrique Iglesias
making fans laugh while they sang along. John interacted with the audience a lot and told stories to introduce each song. In the encore, John performed a snippet of “We Are Young” by Fun before playing “Broken” and “Right Here Waiting” by Richard Marx before playing fan-favorite “Fall For You”.

At the end of the show, John Vesely thanked the crowd, handed out guitar picks to the crowd and informed fans he would be at the merch table.

Secondhand Serenade will be on tour until April 9. John informed the audience he is almost finished writing songs for Secondhand Serenade’s upcoming album but currently, there is no official name for the album or a release date.
