Ever been to a new city and just wanted a good home cooked meal? Well a new website has the answer. EatWith is the first peer to peer alternative to restaurants the new site is similar to AirBnB but instead of sleeping in a strangers house this allows you to eat there. You can also host strangers. Each meal has a price set by the host and a limit to the amount of people who can attend. A quick glance around the site found travelers from CouchSurfing using the site to find unique places to eat a meal. Some hosts sit and eat with their guest while others serve the meal in a more formal manner. EatWith is currently in Spain and Israel. It is now looking for hosts in New York City Hosts are encouraged to use local or their ethnic culinary traditions in the meal. Like other social meetup sites each user gets a rating from other users based on the experiences The Tel Aviv startup launched late 2012 and is still in the early stages but is currently looking for cities to expand to (Amesterdam is coming after New York). Let's try and get this here in Orlando. What better way of showing tourists all the great local cultural than talking about it over a home cooked meal!
