It's time for another construction update of Mills Park. Last time we checked in on the mixed use development only the Fresh Market was vertical now all the commercial buildings are getting framed out. The parking lot that the commercial development on the southern end of the property is also being formed now. The commercial lineup for the development is food focused with Brass Tap, First Watch, at least one full-service restaurant, and a Segafredo Italian cafe. There will also be a Chase bank in the development.
We also find the staircases of the apartment complex now being built. It's typical for the staircases to be built first, as these usually have the strictest fire requirements (usually a two hour wall, meaning it should take two hours of fire to break through the wall). The staircases don't give us many details but do show a rough estimate on how tall the buildings will be. The staircases at The Gallery at Mills Park is only the beginning of the 310 unit complex, the parking garage should begin construction soon.
The only section of the property now not under construction is the northeast corner still controlled by Pelloni Development, the former developers whose original plans fell through.

Note the curbs of where the road will go, the exit looks to be left turn only due to no curved curb, not the right or left that some feared would go in. |
This view shows the outline of the future road that will cut the 14.5 acre development in half, note the parallel parking |
