The Ministry of Environment and Forests of India released a policy statement Friday that forbids the keeping of captive dolphins for public entertainment anywhere in the country. The Central Zoo Authority of India said “Confinement in captivity can seriously compromise the welfare and survival of all types of cetaceans by altering their behavior and causing extreme distress.”
That sucks for SeaWorld, seeing as how they're building a park there.
