OCPS May Approve Giant Less-Than-Lovely Banners

UPDATE: This story was edited Friday May 17th at 4:30pm

Orange County Public Schools is replacing the ugly banners on the south wall of the Ronald Blocker Educational Leadership Center (445 W. Amelia Street) and the east wall of the Orlando Technical Center (301 W. Amelia Street) with new ones. The design of the new banners are likely to be approved.

The banners are part of a handful of ads visible from I-4 on downtown buildings. They're the same size as the old ones, and sadly, they are just as poorly designed, in my opinion.

Come on OCPS: you can create better looking banners. Can't you? Especially when there isn't much advertising downtown to begin with.

One of the banners college tee-wearing students... yet none of the tees feature Florida college logos. "Leading Students to Success" does not mean leading them to Florida schools, apparently.

The new banners will be up for an entire year. Yay?
