The 24 hours party is set for Friday, May 24th at Magic Kingdom beginning at 6a. The event is part of a summer long campaign celebrating the release of Monsters University, the second feature length film in the Monsters, Inc. franchise. The day will include numerous special events including;
Along with the special events the day will also feature special merchandise and food items.
Two specialty drinks; Randall's Suds and Mike's Punch, will be available at The Launching Pad in Tomorrowland.
Gaston's Tavern in New Fantasyland will have a special Monsters University cupcake.
The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor and Plaza Restaurant will have an 'Eye Scream Sundae' in both mint chocolate chip and strawberry.
Other sweets for the day include blue and green cotton candy, cake pops, and decorative candy apples. A cupcake with green icing and a chocolate logo square will be found at the Main Street Confectionery.
The event will also have special merchandise including a t-shirt celebrating the special day and unique ear hats for the event.

- Mike and Sulley as the Grand Marshals of the Celebrate a Dream Come True parade
- an afterdark screening of Monsters, Inc in Tomorrowland,
- a late night dance party in front of Cinderella's Castle
- characters in their pajamas in Town Square during the late night and early morning
