Lake Mary based AAA is known for its yearly Five Diamond lists that is a who’s who of restaurants and hotels. Out of the 29,0000 restaurants that AAA/CAA rates only 0.3 percent make the Five Diamond rating. Out of the 53 North American restaurants to make the list only 16 have made the list for ten or more consecutive years. Florida has two such restaurants, The Restaurant at The Four Seasons in Palm Beach has been a Five Diamond restaurant since 1995 and here in Orlando our very own Victoria & Albert’s has made the list each year since 2000.
Victoria & Albert’s is found within Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. The restaurant is known for its Queen Victorian Dining Room, arguably one of the most exclusive public dining room in Central Florida with only four tables, where a ten-course meal with wine pairings will set you back $315 per person.
The Chef’s Table is also a must for any true foodie. The 10 to 13 course meal takes place within the kitchen itself and includes a Champagne toast with Head Chef Hunnel at the beginning of the night over which he discusses meal ideas with you before creating personalized menu for the evening. While the restaurant features an Modern American menu the items with which its crafted are only the best from around the world. True Kobe beef is flown in fresh from Japan, truffles from Italy, along with fresh oysters and shrimp from right here in Florida. The restaurant also features other fine touches such as Italian Frette tablecloths and cashmere wraps for when guests get chilly.
Victoria & Albert’s is no stranger to awards. It has also been listed as a Forbes Travel Guide as a Four Star Restaurant consecutively since 1990 (known as the Mobil Travel Guide 1990-2009).
While 13 hotels in Florida made the Five Diamond Hotel lists none from Central Florida made the list.
