UCF's Libra Parking Garage Halfway Complete

By Ken Storey

In April, we checked in on UCF's newest parking garage, Libra. Back then, it was an empty lot.  Plenty has happened since then.  The $10,221,264  structure is now about halfway finished, though the 2013 opening seems impossible to meet.  We expect it to open no earlier than mid-semester.

The 1,080 space garage will address the parking needs of two Academic Village buildings currently in construction as well. Adding 670 new beds, the new buildings will be known jointly as Neptune when they open Fall 2013. They will join Nike and Hercules, which were built in phases starting in 2001.

With the large Pegasus adorning the side of it this seems to be the most decorative parking structure at UCF yet.

The parking structure is near the Aquatic Center and will be another option for those going to the Fitness Center
The side closest to Academic Village is the most complete.
While the Neptune Towers are almost done, the small community center in front is far from done.
