Community Solar Farm is 2nd One in the State, First in Central Florida

On Tuesday October 29, 2013 at 10:30am, the Orlando Utilities Commission will host the Community Solar Farm Ribbon Cutting at OUC’s Gardenia Lot (3800 Gardenia Avenue). City of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer will join with Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs and OUC Board President Dan Kirby to officially open the first community solar farm in Central Florida and only the second in the state. The 400-kilowatt solar farm will give Orlando residents and small businesses the benefits of solar energy without having to install it on their own roof.
