Trailer Trash Christmas Play Tickets On Sale Now

Reserve your opening night seats now for the campy crazy play TRAILER TRASH CHRISTMAS before they go on sale to the masses Thursday.

The plot revolves around the Christmastime eviction of an eclectic group of stragglers who failed to vacate the premises when first notified the dilapidated Carolina Moon trailer park would be demolished to make room for a planned Gay time share complex. The oddball residents strain to join forces to raise money for their legal defense fund as they attempt to stave off the wrecking ball and maintain their residency in their beloved mobile home estates.

Yes, it’s Christmas at Carolina Moon and those zany trailerites are planning a Holiday Festival! Don’t miss “The Parade of Trailers Decorating Contest” and the “Drive-Thru Nativity Shooting Gallery”. It’s a Spectacle!

The show runs Saturdays, November 30 and December 7, 14 & 21 at 7:30pm and also Monday December 16 at 8pm.

Original cast members Tommy Wooten and Michael Wanzie will revive the many colorful residents of the now razed, Carolina Moon trailer park, in a remount of Wanzie’s 2004 yuletide comedy, A TRAILER TRASH CHRISTMAS: The Holiday Prequel to CAROLINA MOON. “Moon” was the original hi-camp comedy set in the real-life trailer court and cottages that enjoyed its glory days in the early 1960’s along Orange Blossom Trail adjacent to The Parliament House.

Original cast member Tommy Wooten will return to the Footlight Theatre stage after a five-year absence. Popular long-time Orlando actor, Wooten now resides back in his hometown of Marshall North Carolina, where, while working in his father’s business he has earned accolades directing shows at The Ansonia Theater in neighboring Wadesboro. Currently he is directing CRIMES OF THE HEART, which opens at The Ansonia on November 1, 2013. Wooten will arrive in Orlando on November 16 to begin rehearsals for “Trailer Trash”, which opens at the Footlight Theatre on Saturday November 30th
