Michael Wanzie (A former Award-Winning Arthur Murray Dance Instructor and Ballroom Competition Choreographer) will be teaching an adult beginners ballroom dance class where all are welcome. Single persons are most welcome; you need not attend with a partner. Couples are welcome but must be willing to frequently change partners. Same-sex couples are welcome and encouraged to attend. Everyone enrolled must be willing to dance with everyone else in the class. Changing partners is essential to this style of instruction. The class will be aimed at adapting ballroom dance styles to practical use in social settings such as weddings, bar mitzvahs, social clubs, on cruise ships, and at fundraisers, balls, and galas where dancing with a partner is an option and the area in which to dance is likely to be small. The class will also help participants to recognize contemporary music to which the various styles being taught may be danced.
