On Monday June 23, rapper/actor Ludacris shared a video on Facebook of a person in a yellow dog suit doing a dance-off in the blazing sun. The video was filmed in Orlando, Florida on Colonial in front of a pet store near Fashion Square Mall. A friend of mine told me he thought the video was a couple years old.
Both dancers were very good, but the one in the dog costume... was in a dog costume! In Orlando! In the hot sun! He deserved to win just for not passing out.
At the end of the video, he gives his competitor a hug.
I stopped in the pet store today and asked the owners for the dog costumer dancer's contact information. I told him I wanted to hire the dancer for other events. I wanted to have him attract attention at some upcoming TheDailyCity.com Food Truck Bazaar events we put on each month.
The owner of the store got real quiet and said he didn't work there anymore.
He is dead.
His name was Bobby Mac Harris. He was born in 1990. His funeral was in May. He died April 28, 2014 falling off the back of a pick up truck during a landscaping job.
The owners told me Bobby was very much into working out. He worked with the pet story for over 6 years and befriended the owner's kids. He taught them how to work out and wanted to open a gym for kids since regular gyms don't allow kids.
